Saturday, June 2nd Great Outdoor Provision Co. in the Park Road Shopping Center will celebrate Land Trust Day by donating 10% of all purchases to Catawba Lands Conservancy!

In 1992, when the first Saturday in June was designated “National Trails Day,” the owners of Great Outdoor Provision Co., Tom and Becca Valone, wanted to do something to celebrate the value of all kinds of trails. They decided to give something back to one of the cornerstones of their outdoor clothing and equipment business through a self imposed “earth tax.” They donated 10% of sales receipts on National Trails Day in all Great Outdoor Provision Co. stores to local land trusts. Land trusts work to conserve the most endangered lands of greatest importance to local communities and regions.

Each purchase made at Great Outdoor Provision Co. on Saturday, June 2 will benefit the environment by supporting your local land trust. What a great excuse to go shopping and stock up on all of your outdoor supplies!

NorthFace backpacks will be given away to people who join Catawba Lands Conservancy that day.
