Event Details

Get some exercise on this group hike along 8 miles of the Blue Star Trail, part of the Carolina Thread Trail. Hikers are invited to hike at their own pace with a fast/moderate paced hike leader in front and a slow hike leader bringing up the rear. The hike will include some easy inclines and gravel roads but the majority will be dirt paths with some roots and rocks along the way. It will cover approximately 8 miles and last 3 1/2 to 4 hours. The group will stop a few times for water breaks and snacks but this is primarily a fitness hike on a beautiful trail.

Location: Meet at the back parking lot at the Leroy Springs Recreation Complex (971 Tom Hall St, Fort Mill, SC 29715) off Tom Hall Street to car pool to the Anne Springs Close Greenway Horse Barn.  The hike will begin at the Horse Barn and end at the Recreation Complex.

Cost: Free for members of ASCG and CTT and $5 per guest, which includes admission to ASCG.
