The Time is NowThe down economy presents us with a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to permanently conserve land at reduced prices. The Conservancy is committed to raising $400,000 for the necessary resources to save our disappearing natural lands here in our Southern Piedmont home. The Need for Your SupportThe Ketner Fund for Land Acquisition: Replenishing this fund will enable the Conservancy to permanently conserve 1,600 + acres in the project pipeline and proactively pursue future projects. Advance Land Acquisition: Increasing the capacity of our Land Acquisition team will advance conservation of priority lands in our region on an unprecedented scale. Support Stewardship: Building stewardship capacity upholds our promise to care for a growing number of protected acres – forever. Our aim is to go above and beyond as we build partnerships, increase public access and expand educational opportunities. Further Education: Increasing public awareness of the Conservancy’s efforts through social media and expanded outreach empowers a broader audience to become involved in this important cause. Become a Donor Today
More than 1,200 individuals have joined the Conservancy to advance the mission of protecting significant natural local lands. Many of them have grown up here and hope the wooded areas, working farms and rolling hills that make this region special will remain for their children and grandchildren. Newcomers want to preserve the quality of life that first drew them to the Southern Piedmont. Donations from individual supporters make up about one-third of the Conservancy’s operating budget, making our work possible. Please consider making a difference today by assisting with our conservation efforts.
