Are You Attending the 2012 Chiquita Classic? Purchase Your Tickets and Support Conservation!

PURCHASE TICKETS HERE!

Attention golf fans! If you’re planning on attending the 2012 Chiquita Classic, you can buy your tickets today and designate your purchase as a donation for Catawba Lands Conservancy! The golf tournament – which is one of the premier annual stops on the Nationwide Tour, the “Official Proving Ground for the PGA TOUR” – will be held near Charlotte at The Club at Longview from Sept. 24-30, 2012.

Catawba Lands Conservancy is participating in Tickets Fore Charity, a fundraising opportunity that provides nonprofit organizations the ability to benefit from the sale of tickets for the tournament.

Here’s how it works: when you buy a ticket to the tournament by way of the event website, please designate Catawba Lands Conservancy as your charity of choice. If you select Catawba Lands Conservancy, The Chiquita Classic will give 100 percent – yes 100% – of each ticket sale back to us! You can also purchase tickets by using this form. This fundraiser is an incredible opportunity to raise funds and garner support for CLC!

Tickets to the tournament are affordable: one-day access tickets are $10.00 and all-week access tickets (Thursday through Sunday) are just $30.00. Let’s support this tournament and land conservation in the process! Share this tournament and ticket information with family, friends and your other social networks!

Check out the 2012 Chiquita Classic website, www.chiquitaclassic.com, for more information about the tournament. The Club at Longview is located at 8801 Longview Club Drive in the Town on Weddington, Union County.

The Nationwide Tour

Founded in 1990, owned and operated by the PGA TOUR, the Nationwide Tour identifies those players who are ready to compete and win on golf’s biggest stage. As the “official proving ground” of the PGA TOUR, two out of three PGA TOUR members are Nationwide Tour alumni. Nationwide Tour alumni have won 260 PGA TOUR titles, including 13 majors and three PLAYERS Championships. Twenty-five PGA TOUR cards and $17.4 million were at stake over the course of 29 events in 2011. Recognizing the Tour’s growing stature, Nationwide Insurance has renewed its umbrella sponsorship of the Nationwide Tour through 2012. The PGA TOUR, through the efforts of its three tours and their tournaments, sponsors, players, and volunteers, supports over 2,000 local charities and has surpassed $1.3 billion in charitable giving.
