Get Outside on The Thread during the DNC!

You are invited to attend special Democratic National Convention related events highlighting the Carolina Thread Trail! These events will take place at CarolinaFest 2012 and along Little Sugar Creek Greenway Sept. 3-6!  Check out the DNC website for more information: http://charlottein2012.com/

The Thread is one of the nonprofits that will be featured as a legacy project during the DNC. The Thread will be highlighted in all four of DNC Host Committee’s legacy categories: economic inclusion; youth and civic engagement; healthy children, healthy families; and energy, technology and community sustainability. As part of the celebration, The Thread will have a booth at CarolinaFest 2012 within the Legacy Village and will co-host tours with Mecklenburg County Park and Rec along Little Sugar Creek Greenway.

Delegates and the public are invited to attend CarolinaFest 2012 and participate in free outdoor activities along Little Sugar Creek Greenway, including an informational tour of the greenway. These activities and learning experiences will highlight the community and economic benefits of trails, trail building efforts, and the support and collaboration throughout the region that is creating The Thread.
