Land Trust Accreditation Commission renews CLC’s accreditation

We are excited to announce that Catawba Lands Conservancy’s land trust accreditation has officially been renewed! The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, promotes national standards for organizations working to protect America’s natural lands. A land trust that is accredited by the Commission holds the distinction of having been rigorously vetted for quality of financial practices, ethical conduct, governance and land stewardship. There are currently over 400 accredited land trusts in the U.S., 18 of which are in North Carolina.

The Conservancy was first accredited in 2007 and this is its second renewal. We are proud of the high-quality work this organization has done to save land and connect lives to nature since its last accreditation in 2014, and are pleased that the Commission has acknowledged it through this renewal. We look forward to continuing this work for many years to come.
