CLC’s largest conservation easement, The Fork Farm and Stables is a 1,406-acre working farm in Stanly County that is managed for wildlife and recreation. Named for its location at the confluence of the Pee Dee and Rocky rivers, The Fork is a biologically rich land of historical importance and is home to 10 North Carolina Wildlife Action Plan priority species including the American bald eagle, pileated woodpecker, Eastern king snake and Eastern box turtle.
