The City of Belmont is providing its residents and the public with an update on the planning process and presenting alignment recommendations for a new public trail for the Carolina Thread Trail in Belmont.

A community meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, from 6:30-8 p.m.; the formal presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the meeting in Belmont, click here.

Also, the City of Shelby is providing its residents and the public with an informal opportunity to learn about and provide input on how it can best implement The Thread along the First Broad River.
