Oct. 29 – Night Life Hike with Carolina Raptor Center
*Pre-registration is required for this free event.
Ever wonder what goes on in the woods at night? Well, ghost stories and folk tales aside, the nighttime forest is full of life! The Carolina Raptor Center will lead a discussion of owl behavior accompanied by a live Barred Owl, then we’ll take a glow stick and flashlight-lit hike in the woods. We’ll provide apple cider and snacks at this fall-themed event, and feel free to dress in costume! The Killian Farm and Preserve is normally closed to the public, but we’re looking forward to opening this important piece of conserved property for this special event. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about land and wildlife conservation in our area and support these missions.
