Mature woodlands, the broad Catawba River, diving Cormorants, and an archaeological site? This trail is one of our newest and one of our most special. The Founders and Masons Bend trails extend the Piedmont Medical Center trail at the Riverwalk community northward up the Catawba River in Fort Mill. We are very excited about the new connections between people, places, and nature that this trail makes possible. On our hike, we’ll discuss the local ecology of this area, and how the Carolina Thread Trail contributes to the conservation and connection of our community. This hike is family friendly!
