**In compliance with local and national covid guidelines, Catawba Lands Conservancy and Carolina Thread Trail are taking the following steps and exercising additional precautions to ensure the safety of program participants, volunteers, and staff:

• All programs outdoors
• Limit program capacity to 25 or fewer
• All staff using masks
• Encouraging all participants to follow CDC guidelines

Bring your own bike and join a Carolina Thread Trail staff member to explore a different section of Thread Trail each month! We will offer a brief overview of the future plans for expansion of this trail segment, then we’ll hit the trail for a relaxed ride and a tour of all the trail has to offer.

The Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway segment in Kannapolis is newly opened as of April 2021. Part of the Carolina Thread Trail, the greenway connects numerous neighborhoods to parks and main roads, linking people and places together through recreation, exercise, and transportation opportunities in Kannapolis. Currently the greenway is 2.5 miles long, but it will eventually stretch 7.5 miles and connect with Concord’s Greenway systems. Read more about this new trail here!
