On Saturday, October 9, McAdenville community leaders hosted a dedication for the newly-constructed segment of the Carolina Thread Trail on the Pharr Yarns Preserve. Approximately 200 people enjoyed live music, light refreshments and a ribbon cutting ceremony. Conservancy volunteers Charlie Williams and Haywood Rankin led a special guided hike of the new natural surface trail that winds for approximately two miles along the South Fork Catawba River.
