Event Details

Get your paddle muscles ready! Join Carolina Thread Trail and the Catawba Riverkeeper for a morning kayak trip on the Catawba River. We will be paddling the section of Catawba River that runs through Landsford Canal.

Did you know our public drinking water for this region is drawn from the Catawba River? Land conservation in developing areas is essential to supporting healthy waterways and clean drinking water for the entire region. On the river we will hear from the Catawba Riverkeepers about their efforts to protect and improve water quality in the Catawba-Wateree River Basin.

You must be able to swim to participate in this event. All gear will be provided, or you are welcome to bring your own boat.

This paddle is offered for FREE by Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC) and Carolina Thread Trail (CTT) along with our partners at Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation.
