Looking for something different to do on your Friday night? Join Carolina Thread Trail and the Bailey’s Outdoor Adventures for a evening kayak trip on the Catawba River blueway! This section of blueway is part of the Carolina Thread Trail’s blueway network which currently includes over 170 miles of waterways in North and South Carolina.

We will paddle a 3-mile section of river ending at the Riverwalk development where you can continue your evening with a stroll down the paved Riverwalk: Piedmont Medical Center Trailor maybe grab dinner at a local establishment.

You must be able to swim to participate in this event. All gear will be provided, or you are welcome to bring your own boat.

This paddle is offered for FREE by Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC) and Carolina Thread Trail (CTT) along with our partners at Bailey’s Outdoor Adventures.

What is Provided:

• CTT trip leader
• Free kayak rental, PFD, and paddle from Bailey’s Outdoor Adventures
• Safety gear and first aid
• Shuttle to the put-in location

What to Bring:

• Full water bottle
• Water shoes or old sneakers
