Join us for a nature hike about more than just plants and wildlife- we’ll also discuss the intersecting natural and human history that have made this landscape, including the U.S. National Whitewater Center and the flow of the Catawba River, the important target of conservation efforts that it is today. This hike is hosted in conjunction with the USNWC’s Outdoor Market festival and is open for free to the public. You can find details for this event and others at their event website.
DETAILS:
- Course: about 2 miles round trip from the Figure 8 trail to the Carolina Thread Trail
- Time: October 12, 10 – 11 am
- Meet up location: CLC’s exhibitor tent at Vendor Village. Park at 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28214. MAP
