We are proud to partner with We Walk Together, a non-profit organization that organizes community walks and service days around Charlotte in order to raise awareness about a variety of issues and provide a space for learning and compassion. On February 15th, all are welcome to walk the Briar Creek greenway near the Mint Museum on Randolph Rd, and learn about the importance of trail building and the significance of Catawba Lands Conservancy’s protected land along the creek. Park in the back of the Mint Museum parking lot, and look for the Catawba Lands Conservancy/Carolina Thread Trail yard signs and our sign-in table to find us. On the 30th, we’ll park and gather at the same spot to return to the conserved property for a multifaceted forest workday including invasive removal and tree planting. No sign up required, just show up!
