May 12 – Sunset Bike Ride at Riverwalk: Piedmont Medical Center Trail

Bring your own bike and join Bret, director of the Carolina Thread Trail, to explore a different section of Thread Trail each month! Bret will offer a brief overview of the future plans for expansion of this trail segment, then we’ll hit the trail for a relaxed ride and a tour of all the trail has to offer.

This segment of the Carolina Thread Trail is one of our most exciting, already extending over 10 miles along the river in Rock Hill, and soon to reach down river all the way to the Catawba Indian Nation Trail. Rock Hill’s progress showcases everything that greenways can do to increase recreation, exercise, and transportation options to foster a greater sense of community.

  • Course: 7 miles on mostly flat gravel and paved surfaces
  • Time: May 12th, 6:30-8:00 PM

What’s provided:

  • Carolina Thread Trail trip leader
  • Extra helmets
  • Extra bike lights
  • First aid supplies

What you should bring:

  • Your own bike (hybrid or mountain bike preferred)
  • Your own helmet
  • Water bottle and snacks
  • Bike lights (front and rear), if you have them
