Oct. 9- Sunset Bike Ride at Little Sugar Creek Greenway (Tyvola Rd to I-485)

Bring your own bike and join Bret, Carolina Thread Trail’s Community Coordinator, to explore a different section of Thread Trail each month! Bret will offer a brief overview of the future plans for expansion of this trail segment and how it fits into the regional master plan for the Carolina Thread Trail network.

This five-mile segment of the Carolina Thread Trail  connects Park Road Park to neighborhoods between Park Road and South Boulevard, as well as nearby shopping centers. This trail is entirely paved so any type of bike will do.

This bike ride is offered for FREE by Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC) and Carolina Thread Trail (CTT).

  • Parking Address: Parking lot across Tyvola road from Queen’s University Sports Complex at 2229 Tyvola Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. MAP
  • Time: 6:00 – 7:30 PM
  • Course: 10 miles, 10 mph, paved surface, 15+ years old

  • Safety gear, extra bike lights, and extra helmets
  • First aid supplies
