This Conservancy-owned preserve located in Cabarrus County has a wonderful story. Previously destined to be a subdivision, the property now represents all four of CLC’s focus areas: a portion of the preserve is a working farm; a rare Piedmont oak savannah provides unique wildlife habitat; forested buffers adjacent to Adams Creek and Dutch Buffalo Creek contribute to water quality; and a two-mile section of the Carolina Thread Trail provides connections to nature for hikers and cyclists.
