*Pre-registration is required for this event. 

**In compliance with local, national, and current CDC guidelines, Catawba Lands Conservancy and Carolina Thread Trail are taking the following steps and exercising additional precautions to ensure the safety of program participants, volunteers, and staff:

• All programs outdoors
• Limit program capacity to 25 or fewer. This program’s maximum is 10.
• Limit programs to activities that more readily allow for adequate distance (kayaking, biking)
• All staff using masks
• Encouraging all participants to use masks and to follow social distancing guidelines

Carolina Thread Trail is excited to team up with Charlotte’s Tree Canopy Action Plan (TCAP) to host a series of bike rides in September around Charlotte’s local greenways! TCAP is an initiative lead by the city to better define policies to preserve, enhance, and restore Charlotte’s declining tree canopy.  Bring your bike and join us for a leisurely bike ride, learn more about the importance of Charlotte’s Tree Canopy, and share your voice and perspective with the city staff members leading the TCAP’s efforts. At the end of the program, you will have the opportunity to fill out a survey on your thoughts about Charlotte’s TCAP.

*The Urban Arboretum Trail does incorporate some semi-trafficked Charlotte streets. This program is more suited for individuals who already have some comfort riding on the road.
