Please send letters today to Gov. McCrory about the importance of conservation funding.
We need your help to encourage North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory to increase conservation funding in the state budget he’ll soon propose. The state’s four conservation trust funds have seen steep cuts in recent years, and we need your help to reverse this unfortunate trend so that more local waterways, forests, farms and scenic vistas can be preserved for future generations.
During his tenure as mayor of Charlotte, Gov. McCrory was a strong advocate for local land conservation by supporting the early efforts of Catawba Lands Conservancy and the work to protect Mt. Island Lake. Let’s thank him for his efforts and remind him of why restoring funding to the Clean Water Management Trust Fund and our other state conservation funds is so critical to our communities. Thanks for your help!
